one half cup of dal.
half cup tamarind pulp A little thick
one medium onion
one medium tomato
one drumstick(munakkada)
one spoon sugar or jaggery
5 green chillies 
for tadka
one table spoon oil
mustard seeds,jeera seeds,curry leaves,pinch of hing.
cook dal with one cup of water.now add the the veggies cut into
cubes and pulp to the dal add green chillies also.and add 2 cups
of water to it and cook it until it gets a little thick not too
thick.now add the salt and sugar to it.sugar gives it the
taste.then make the tadka and add it to the pappu charu then
serve it with rice.
