Colcasia(Chama dumpalu) - 10 of Medium size Besan - 250 gms Mirchi powder - depending on the mirchi u eat Salt Kothimeer onions- 1 medium size ,made into paste ginger paste ajwan seeds(vaamu) - small quantity(2 tb spoons)
Boil colcasia in a cooker with only 1 whistle, peel off the cover and cut them into round pieces and fry them with little oil in a pan for 10 mins and keep it a side and let it cool. In the mean while, take a bowl, Mix Besan, salt(to your taste), mirchi powder, ajwan seeds, onion and ginger(very little) paste, kothimeer(cut into very small pieces),pepper seeds(small size) with sufficient water... and leave it a side for 5 mins... boil oil in a pan on high flame, after getting heat, put the stove in medium flame and now, take each piece of colcasia and soak it completely in the prepared Besan Mix and put it in oil one after the other..... fry them until they turn golden brown and remove them... decorate it with onion and Lime pieces( Cut in Round Shape)... Very Tastier colcasia Bajji is ready, it can be served with coconut chutney, sambar or tomato ketchup...
