K. S. Resmi has 20 years of professional teaching experience and 
35 years of continuous study of Carnatic music. She earned her 
BA and MA degrees in South Indian classical vocal music 
performance at the University of Kerala in India and is currently 
ABD for the Ph.D. Resmi taught Carnatic vocal music at the 
University of Madras as a full-time tenured faculty member of the 
Department of Indian Music from 2004-2007. Openings for 
students are now available for study of authentic Carnatic vocal, 
Kathakali padams, bhajans, Carnatic Malayalam Christian 
devotionals, film songs, and Sikh shabad (languages – 
Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, English). Private &
