2025 Hopkins Raspberry Festival Grande Day Parade. As participants, you make the Raspberry Festival a fun-filled and spectacular summer event!
Please note the following parade information:
1. Parade date: Sunday, July 20, 2025. The Parade starts promptly at 1:00 pm.
2. Please assemble and be set up in your parade line up spot by 11:00 a.m.
3. The official parade route is Mainstreet starting at 5th Avenue and ending at 17th Avenue.
4. To assist you as needed, parade personnel and signs will be present in the line up
area. On Parade Day, each line up position will be marked with a line up number.
5. Restrooms will be located throughout the line-up area.
6. Enter the parade line up area from the intersection of State Highway 7 and 5th Avenue North.

7. Marching Bands – please assemble at Burnes Park located on Minnetonka Mills Road.
• A parade staff member will greet and escort the bands from the park to their line up
position.
• A few picnic shelters are available in the park.
• Unloaded band buses should park at the Public Works Department located
at 17th Avenue South.
• At the parade's end, the bands will be directed to the parked buses.
8. Only parade units are allowed in the parade staging area! A parent drop-off area has been
established. Please refer to the map. This will keep extra vehicles out of the lineup area and help
to keep our participants safe.
9. In the interest of safety, the Hopkins Police Department will not allow candy or other novelties to be
thrown to spectators from any parade unit. Please do not spray or shoot water at spectators.
If desired, walkers may hand out candy and other literature along the curbs. Please limit your
quantities.
10. All animal units must provide their own "clean up". Both the line-up area and parade route must be
kept clean. No exceptions.
11. Please respect private property in the line-up area.
12. Bypass parade units that have problems during the parade.
13. The Fire Department will provide an aerial shower at the end of the parade.
14. Participation fees will be given at the beginning of the parade when the effected units pass by
parade headquarters.
15. To minimize gaps, please keep your performance moving when feasible. Please try to maintain a
maximum space of three car lengths between parade units.
16. Review stand/announcing booth and live video broadcast will occur between 13th and 14th
Avenues.
17. Float and other parade unit disassembly will occur along Mainstreet, south or west of 17th Avenue.
18. Parking is available on adjacent avenues, unless otherwise posted. Park at least three blocks
away from Mainstreet to leave ample room for parade patrons.
