Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced
and proactive Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of a
multifamily apartment building. The ideal candidate will be responsible
for managing tenant relations, property maintenance, leasing, and
ensuring the overall success of the property while maintaining a high
level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of daily operations for a multifamily apartment community
- Manage leasing processes, including advertising vacancies, conducting tours, and processing applications
- Ensure timely rent collection and handle late payment procedures
- Maintain regular communication with tenants, addressing complaints, concerns, and service requests promptly
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs, ensuring the property is well-maintained and safe for residents
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and building codes
- Enforce lease agreements and handle evictions when necessary
- Prepare and manage property budgets, including operating expenses and capital improvement projects
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain tenants
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service contracts
- Handle administrative duties, including preparing reports, lease renewals, and other documentation
- Stay informed on local and state laws affecting property management and ensure compliance with all legal requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in property management, preferably in a multifamily apartment setting
- Strong knowledge of fair housing laws, leasing, and tenant rights
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, or a related field preferred.
